Moose Mountain Hot Tubs uses the 'CSA' approved Balboa Heater system in all it's hot tubs.
Moose Mountain has worked in conjunction with Balboa Instruments Inc.(www.balboa-instruments.com) for many years and has had great success with their heater system.
The main benefit to the customer is its ease of use. It does not feature you to death!!!
The top-side controller is mounted on top of the hottub and easily reached while you are in the hot tub. It allows you to turn the jets on (low speed, high speed or off if not in a filter cycle). It also has a light switch and heater control.
The heat control is very accurate. The heat sensor is mounted on the inside of the hot tub and senses the actual water temperature. The heater can be set from 80ºF to 104ºF. Once the temperature controller is set to your favorite water temperature, the hot tub water will stay at precisely that temperature. The system is accurate to within .5 of a ºF.
We recommend a winter time water temperature of 104ºF and a summer water temperature of 101ºF.
The heater system also controls the two filtration cycles. The hot tub will run for 2 hours on and 10 hours off. If in the off cycle if the temperature dropped as little as .5ºF the heater would automatically come on and restore he hottub to its set temperature.
